I did say I was going to start to post some more creative work on here. I feel a bit nervous when it comes to publishing poetry or fiction because I really want to be good at it. It is a bit strange that I feel like that because my degree is in Creative Writing so you'd think I'd have a bit more confidence in myself. I am pretty proud of this one though.

Coconut and chocolate bundled up an a super hipster, Instgram perfect package- whats not to love? Cocoa Mester and Froconut teamed up and like any other trendy event in Sheffield, it was hosted in S3. Cocoa Mester permanently have a store in Krynkl down at Shalesmoor which is where this was held. Krynkl itself is really bloody cool, if you've never heard of it you should definitely check it out. It is a bunch of re purposed storage containers and they've been turned in to a restaurant, yoga studio and rooftop bar- but back to the point of this post... There were three different flavours to choose from all of which sounded delicious. I opted for Persian  Petal because the rose petals sparked my interested, they kind of tasted like Turkish Delight, it was amazing. The froconut itself is kind of like a coconutty, vegan Mr Whippy. The coconut that it was served in can be repurpused which I'm all about., you can dry it out and use it as a bowl. Elly

I'm sad to say that it had been a whole year since I last visited Crucible- but I was glad to be back.  The venue always has a lovely atmosphere. I find that while Docfest is on there is always a buzz around the square where The Crucible and The Lyceum are, so it is a great time to go to watch something. And is it just me or does everyone wearing a Docfest lanyard know each other?  It was opening night that I visited and unfortunately two days prior, Lucy Black who was going to play the role of Nurse Ratched had a nasty accident, leaving her unable to preform. Luckily Jenny Livsey stepped in and did an incredible job. She held a script disguised as a clipboard with notes throughout but I didn't even notice until half way through the first act. She previously played this role last year at The Torch Theatre so regardless of stepping in at the last minute she gave an amazing performance and I'd definitely recommend buying tickets if you're considering it.
